Classification of feed equipment
• Classification by feed type: There are pig feed equipment, chicken feed equipment, cattle feed equipment, etc., which are designed according to the nutritional needs and feeding characteristics of different animals. For example, pig feed equipment focuses on the particle size and shape suitable for pigs, while cattle feed equipment pays more attention to the processing of roughage.
Feed processing process and corresponding equipment
• Raw material cleaning equipment: The first step in feed production is to clean the raw materials and remove impurities. Commonly used ones include vibrating screens, which use the principle of vibration to make the material move on the screen surface and separate impurities through screens of different apertures; there are also permanent magnetic cylinders, which can use magnetic force to absorb ferromagnetic impurities in the raw materials.
• Crushing equipment: Crushing and refining the raw materials for subsequent processing and animal digestion. Hammer mills are widely used. They rely on high-speed rotating hammers to hit the materials to break them. They have the advantages of high crushing efficiency and strong adaptability.
• Batching equipment: Accurately measure the proportion of various raw materials. The electronic batching scale is the main equipment. It measures the weight of the material through a sensor and transmits the signal to the control system to achieve accurate batching.
• Mixing equipment: Evenly mix various raw materials. The double-shaft paddle mixer has high mixing efficiency and good mixing uniformity, and can fully mix different materials in a short time.
• Granulating equipment: Make powdered feed into granules to improve the stability and palatability of the feed. Ring die pelletizer is a commonly used pelletizing equipment. The material is extruded and formed between the ring die and the roller. The pellets produced are of good quality and high density.
• Cooling and drying equipment: Cool and dry the pelletized feed to reduce the moisture content for easy storage. Countercurrent cooler uses cold air to countercurrently contact with hot pellet feed to quickly cool and reduce moisture.
